Weapons and armor behave more realistically on Alteria in that they do take damage, wear and tear, and have vulnerabilities.
Your weapon, while able to cut through that boulder, will over time become duller because of it, be sure to sharpen it!
Your armor, while 'bulletproof' might not do so well against denting from a charging Jia, keep your repair hammer ready when you're at home or visit local blacksmith.
A general rule of thumb is after 3 fights, get it fixed up, polished, sharpened, and patched up!
Once again, we would greatly appreciate you refraining from using weapons capable of leveling mountainsides or armor that would make Master Chief jealous of your skydiving as it ruins the world for the rest of us.
